Option of submitting personal data
Users are not obligated to submit personal data. However, should the user fill out forms or send electronic mail messages in order to obtain information about Sopaf's services, some data (such as user's name and surname or company name, telephone number, address, and e-mail address) are necessary in order to provide the service requested, and are thus considered mandatory.
Processing means and security measures
The personal data are processed both automatically and manually only for the time needed to achieve the objectives for which the data have been collected, including the maintenance of subsequent relationships with the user arising from the user's request. Specific security measures are observed in order to prevent the loss of the data, illegal or incorrect use of the data, and unauthorized access to the data.
More specifically, in the sections of the Web site dedicated to specific services, where the user's personal data are requested, the data are encrypted through a security technology known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). The SSL technology codes the data before they are exchanged (via the Internet ) between the user's processing system and Sopaf's main systems, thereby making the data indecipherable by non-authorized persons and guaranteeing the confidentiality of the information transmitted.
The use of the SSL also requires a compatible browser capable of executing the "exchange" of a security key with a minimum length of 128 bits, needed for establishing the aforementioned secure connection with Sopaf's main systems.
Rights of the interested persons
The persons to whom the personal data refers ("interested persons"), whose data have been gathered in accordance with the purposes and means illustrated, have the right at any time to obtain the confirmation of the existence or non-existence of the data, to ascertain the content and origin thereof, to verify the accuracy thereof, and to request their supplementation or updating, or adjustment pursuant to Article 7 of the Privacy Code.
The interested person also has the right to request the cancellation of the data, and the transformation of the data into anonymous form, and to contest, for legitimate reasons, the processing of the data.
Any such requests should be submitted to:
